The Saba Home Page

When you become an instructor for the first time, you are assigned an instructor number. The way you get this number depends on the instructor course.

  • If the instructor course is part of Saba, you register online with the Red Cross before attending the in-class portion. You get your instructor number and access the Learning Center at that time.
  • If the course has not yet been set up on Saba,you attend the regular course and call 1-800-RED-CROS, Option 3, to request your number after the course is concluded.

Logging in

When you get your instructor number, you are ready to log into the Learning Center.

    Under Returning User Please Log In, enter your Instructor Number as your Username and Welcome1 as your Password.

  3. When prompted, change your password and optionally your username.
  4. Log in again to test the new username and password.

Using the Home Page

Learning Center (Saba) Home page

The Learning Center Home page is the default view after log in. The Home page has the following elements and navigational tools:

  •  Main Sections
    • Announcements
    • Current Enrollments
    • Catalog Searches
    • Learning Recommendations
  • Tabs
    • My Learning – This page allows you to see your Current Enrollments (Web-based classes/updates), Curricula, Certifications, Transcripts, and Evaluations and Surveys.
    • My Skills – This page lists your Certificates and Certificate Gap Analysis.
    • My Profile – This page lists your profile, including your personal information and list of certificates.
    • Reports
  • Links (Top of the Page)
    • My Calendar – This is an interactive calendar tool.
    • My Account – This link allows you to configure the Home page and set other preferences, work with Proxy Settings, and view or change Account Details.
    • For Help Call… – This link opens a window with Saba Software Help information.
    • Click to Chat
    • Click to Call
    • Log Out
  • Go To Drop-Down Menu
    • Home – This is the default page.
    • CR Administration – Select this option to go to the pages where you submit new course records, manage existing course records, and print participant certificates.
Printing your credentials

To print out a list of your certificates:

  1. On the Home page, click the My Profile tab.
  2. Click one of the following links:
    • Print Friendly View - to print out the entire profile, including your certificates
    • Internal Resume View - to print your Profile Snapshot and Certificate List only.
  3. Click Print.
Editing your profile

To edit your profile (so the Red Cross has your current email, etc.):

  1. On the Home page, click the My Profile tab.
  2. In the Profile Snapshot area, click the Edit Profile Snapshot link.
  3. Update your profile in the field that appear.
  4. Click Save to save the new profile information.
Changing your password

To change your password:

  1. On the Home page, click the My Account link.
  2. In the Account popup window, click the Account Details tab.
  3. In the fields provided, enter the current password and the new password two times.
  4. Click the Save and Close button.
