The following American Red Cross classes are scheduled in the Southern California area. Many of these courses are being taught by the Water Safety Guy but are being hosted by SAFE SWIM.

LGI
REQUIREMENTS: At least 17 years old; hold a current American Red Cross Lifeguarding/First Aid/CPR/AED certificate, able to swim 300 yards continuously using either front crawl or breaststroke; able to tread water for 2 minutes using legs only; and able to retrieve a 10-lb object from 7-10 feet and tow it using legs only for 20 yards. YOU MUST PREREGISTER AND COMPLETE (1) an online orientation to the Red Cross, (2) an online orientation to Lifeguarding Instructor. and (3) Section 1 of the course study guide prior to the first class meeting (Pre-class work).

REQUIREMENTS: At least 16 years old; able to swim front crawl, back crawl, elementary back, sidestroke, breaststroke, and butterfly in good form; able to tread water and back float for 1 minute each. YOU MUST have a syllabus and e-books and COMPLETE Section 1 prior to the first class meeting (Pre-class work).
