The Lifeguarding Instructor course gives you more SPLASH for your CASH! This course trains you to teach Lifeguarding, first aid/CPR, and water safety courses. With a simple bridge course, you can also be certified to teach Title 22 First Aid or Waterfront Lifeguarding.

REQUIREMENTS: Be at least 17 years old; hold a current American Red Cross Lifeguarding/First Aid/CPR/AED certificate, be able to swim 300 yards continuously using either front crawl or breaststroke; be able to tread water for 2 minutes using legs only; and be able to retrieve a 10-lb object from 7-10 feet and tow it using legs only for 20 yards in 100 seconds or less.
YOU MUST PREREGISTER AND COMPLETE (1) an online orientation to the Red Cross, (2) an online orientation to Lifeguarding Instructor. and (3) Section 1 of the course study guide prior to the first class meeting (Pre-class work). To download a flyer, click LGI Course Flyer.
