Trauma Emergencies
Trauma is physical injury caused by an external agent, force, or mechanism. Identifying trauma begins during the scene size-up and continues as you assess the patient and provide care. Typical signs of trauma include bleeding, bruising, and body-part deformity due to broken/dislocated bones or injuries joints. These pages describe assessment and care for:
