Saba Home Page

The Learning Center (Saba) Home page lists your profile, including all your Red Cross instructor certifications. The Home page is also the launching point for all Red Cross online/blended learning course offerings.

Using the Learning Center Home Page

The Learning Center Home page allows you to build a personal profile, to view instructor-level Red Cross certifications you have earned, and to launch new online courses.

Changing Your Password

To change your password:

  1. Click the My Account link at the top of the page. The My Account page opens.
  2. Click the Account Details tab.
  3. Enter and confirm the new password in the New Password and Confirm New Password fields.
  4. Click the Save and Close button.

Editing your Profile

To edit your profile:

  1. Click the My Profile tab. The My Profile page opens.
  2. Click Edit Profile Snapshot and enter your current details.
  3. Click Save to update your profile.

NOTE: If your email address changes, use this command to enter your new email address. After updating it here, it is a good idea to call 1-800-RED-CROS1-800-RED-CROS, Option 3, Option 2, to make sure the Red Cross has the correct email for you.

Printing Your Profile and Instructor Certificates

To print your profile and certifications:

  1. Click the My Profile tab. The My Profile page opens.
  2. Select a print option.
    1. To print all parts of the profile, click Printer Friendly View. A new page opens with all profile sections open and ready to print.
    2. To print your profile snapshot along with instructor certifications, click Internal Resume View. A new page opens, ready to print.
  3. Select Print.

Working with Online/Blending Learning Courses

The Learning Center Home page is the starting point for online/blending learning courses you take from the Red Cross.

Registering for a Course Offering

When you sign up for an online or blended learning Red Cross course, the instructor/instructor-trainer will give you the offering ID number and a “deep link” to connect you to the online course. You use the deep link to register with the Red Cross and enroll in the course as follows:

  1. Log into the Learning Center (refer to the Saba Login Page). The Saba Home page appears.
  2. Copy the deep link into your browser’s Address field and press Enter. A Course Offering page appears with the course fee.
  3. Click Confirm. A Course Registration page appears.
  4. Select Credit Card as the Method of Payment. A Credit Card page opens.
  5. Enter credit card details and click Submit. This completes registration and places the course offering in My Enrollments.

Launching/Completing the Course Offering

Once the course appears in Current Enrollments on the Home page, you can launch/complete the online course by doing the following:

  1. Click the Launch Now link to start the online class. You can also start the class by going to My Learning > My Enrollments and clicking the Launch link.
  2. Once the course starts, follow the online program until all modules have been completed, including any written exams.
  3. Then, print out the Completion page.
  4. In the case of blended learning, take this page to the class and present it to your instructor/instructor-trainer as proof of completing the online part of the course.
